1. Before installation, carefully check all standards of the
stainless steel elbow to ensure the diameter meets usage requirements. Eliminate any defects caused during transportation and remove any dirt or grime from the stainless steel elbow. Ensure all preparations are complete and the stainless steel elbow is ready for installation.
2. During installation, the stainless steel elbow can be directly installed on the pipeline according to the connection method and the intended location. Generally, it can be installed at any position on the pipeline, but it should be easily accessible for operation and maintenance. Note that the medium flow direction of the stainless steel elbow should be from the bottom of the valve disc, and the elbow must be installed horizontally.
3. Pay attention to sealing during installation to prevent leaks that could affect the normal operation of the pipeline. Tighten the bolts on the packing gland of the stainless steel elbow valve evenly, avoiding any misalignment to prevent damage to the valve stem or leakage.
4. When using ball valves, gate valves, or globe valves with stainless steel elbows, only operate them fully open or fully closed. Do not use them for flow regulation to prevent erosion of the sealing surface and accelerated wear. Gate valves and threaded globe valves have a reverse sealing device. Tightening the handwheel to the upper position will prevent leakage of the medium from the packing.
5. Stainless steel elbows should be operated with the handwheel only. Do not use levers or other tools to avoid damaging the valve components. Turning the handwheel clockwise closes the valve, and counterclockwise opens it.
