How to reduce steel pipe corrosion

Corrosion would be a big trouble for various steel pipes so that manufacturers are trying to figure out the best way to solve this problem. And for welded steel pipe, like ERW steel pipe, we should pay more attention to it.
What cause the corrosion actually? To some extent, we can say that due to the environment is full of oxygen so that the corrosion probability would be higher than the lower oxygen places. Under this situation, reducing oxygen would be a nice try for us. Controlling the amount of hydrogen in the weld pipe’s production process through other means, such as using a low-hydrogen filler metal, is a good complement to proper preheating. Both contribute to a reduced risk of weld failure and cracking. We know that joints would be weakness for welded pipes. Seamless steel pipe would be our first choice if we need to transport some high pressure gas or oil. Of course, ERW steel pipe with high quality joints combination is also great for transporting.
