The shelf life of steel is regulated. Are there any legal provisions for the warranty period of stee

First, the shelf life of steel:
The length of the warranty period of steel depends on many factors, including the type of steel, its purpose, production process, storage conditions, and use environment. Different types of steel have different warranty periods. Generally, the warranty period of ordinary steel is about 3 to 5 years. Some high-quality steel, such as high-quality structural steel, may maintain a shelf life of more than 20 years under appropriate storage and use conditions. If the steel itself does not have corrosion phenomena such as oxidation and rust, regular maintenance is not required. However, for general steel, rust corrosion has a certain probability of causing rust spots. If the rust corrosion is serious, new steel needs to be replaced. In an environment with large temperature changes, rust spots may appear on steel. If there are rust spots, the rust of steel may accelerate and shorten its service life. Therefore, after using steel plates or other metal materials, the surface and rusted areas should be cleaned in time. According to the different materials and uses of steel, there are many types of steel. According to the production composition of steel, it can be used as long as it does not rust or corrode, so its shelf life is uncertain and is related to whether it is stored reasonably!

Second, 7 questions about the warranty period of steel:
1. How many years is the warranty period for steel structure: Generally, it is 2 years, according to the warranty period of the main project and the design requirements.
2. How many years is the warranty period of steel: There is no fixed warranty period written on the warranty book of steel, which should be about 30 years! It depends on where it is used. There is a difference between indoor and outdoor periods! Outdoors may often be exposed to wind and sun, or there may be some major natural disasters, so the period is shorter.
The change in surface quality is visible to the naked eye and is easy to identify. The change in performance is invisible and intangible, and can only be inferred by the factory time of the warranty book, that is, the inventory time. It is necessary to separately control the inventory time of steel coils. In addition to managing the inventory time, steel types and steel mills should also be treated differently: the aging phenomenon caused by long inventory time is different in different steel mills or steel types.

There are great differences between different steel types.
For example, low-alloy high-strength steel grade HC340LA and IF steel grade DC06 are both stored for 1 year. The former may have stamping orange peel, while the latter may not change much during use. It should be noted that advanced high-strength steel products (such as HC780/980DP) rarely mention the aging problem. It is not that they do not have an aging phenomenon, but because their strength is too high, the aging effect is not a big deal.

There are great differences between the actual products of different steel mills.
For example, the products of large steel mills and small private factories are very different for the same DC01. It is possible that the performance of a DC01 steel coil produced by a large steel mill has not changed much after a year, but a problem will occur after 3 months of storage at a small private factory.

There are two main reasons for this phenomenon: First, because most private small factories do not have their steelmaking production lines, they purchase hot-rolled raw materials from second-tier steel mills and cannot effectively control the composition; second, the quality management level of private small factories themselves is not high, and the cold rolling process cannot be finely controlled.

3. Do steel and castings have a warranty period?
It should be no. The longer this material is stored, the more stable its performance is, that is, the smaller the internal stress is. I think there is no warranty period.

4. What are the regulations for the warranty period of steel structure projects?
Steel structure projects are construction projects. According to Article 40 of the Regulations on Quality Management of Construction Projects, its warranty period is equivalent to the reasonable service life of the project specified in the design documents.

5. How many years is the warranty period of steel structure projects?
Steel structure projects are construction projects. Its warranty period is equivalent to the reasonable service life of the project specified in the design documents. According to the Construction Engineering Quality Management Regulations, under normal use conditions, the minimum warranty period for housing construction projects is:
(i) Foundation engineering and main structure engineering, the reasonable service life of the project specified in the design documents;
(ii) Roof waterproofing engineering, waterproof bathrooms, rooms and exterior wall anti-leakage, 5 years;
(iii) Heating and cooling systems, 2 heating periods and cooling periods;
(iv) Electrical pipelines, water supply and drainage pipelines, equipment installation, 2 years;
(v) Renovation engineering, 2 years.

6. National regulations on the quality assurance period of steel structure projects.
The quality assurance period for steel structures is generally one year, and the quality assurance period for roofs is 2 years. The service life is generally designed for 50 years!

7. How long is the warranty period of steel structures.
This has a lot to do with the environment in which the structure is located and the anti-corrosion measures adopted by itself, and cannot be generalized. Generally speaking, ordinary painting of steel structures is about 5 years old.
