The difference between SAW and SSAW steel pipe is only one world “S”, some clients made jokes with us when they discussed with us. However, we should figure out the real situation for that. This would give help for us once we need to choose the suitable steel tubes for engineering project.
SSAW steel pipe-spiral submerged arc welding steel pipe is its forward direction and forming tube center-line hose reel molding angle (adjustable), side molding edge welding and weld them into a spiral. While SAW-submerged arc welding pipe is normally operated in the automatic or mechanized mode, however, semi-automatic (hand-held) SAW guns with pressurized or gravity flux feed delivery are available. Thus, we know there is the difference for spiral or not for these two kinds of steel pipes.
